Schwarzer Cardiotek concludes filling of key management-level positions

Heilbronn, 31. July 2015 – Schwarzer Cardiotek has completed the restructuring and reorganization of its divisions and successfully filled all open management-level positions.

The company has completed this very dynamic phase while also implementing its ambitious objectives, including the integration of Cardiotek, the development and introduction of new products such as the cardiology information system cardWorks and intensified global sales activities.

In order for the company to achieve these and future challenges, new key positions at managerial level have been created and fully occupied.

Thomas Scheuermann was the first of these key appointments, joining in September 2014 as Director Operations for Schwarzer Cardiotek. He has diplomas in both electrical engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) and industrial engineering (Dipl. -Wirt.Ing; BWL-postgraduate studies) along with many years of experience in the management of production and order processing. Thomas Scheuermann was previously Senior Project Manager (DACH region) for Baxter Deutschland where, among other things, he implemented procedures to increase process efficiency. In January of this year, Thomas Scheuermann was also appointed to management of the Dutch CardioTek B.V.

Similarly, in September 2014 Christine Noske joined Schwarzer Cardiotek as Director Marketing Communications. She has a diploma in management science and has long-standing and extensive international experience in challenging marketing positions. Most recently, she was Marketing Director responsible for Central Europe with NTT Com Security. Christine Noske has now taken over the demanding task of making the new Schwarzer Cardiotek corporate branding known worldwide, while also developing and implementing sales-oriented marketing and communication strategies globally.

In March 2015 Michael Grundmann advanced the team by joining as Director Finance. He has more than 15 years’ experience in international controlling, most recently with the Swiss Danzer group. Michael Grundmann will develop for the growing businesses the important area of cost accounting and controlling which, as a result of the integration of the two companies Schwarzer and Cardiotek and particularly the assumption of Cardiotek accounting duties, presents a strong challenge.

Also in March, Michaela Hils took over as Head of Human Resources. Michaela Hils worked in various companies as assistant to the management board - including Schwarzer Cardiotek since February 2014 - and has a more than 20 years of experience in the areas of human resources. One of her priorities is to recruit highly qualified employees, for which there is an increased demand due to the expansion of the company.

In yet another important acquisition in March 2015, Oliver Roth joined as the new Director Quality & Regulatory. He joined from Philips Healthcare in Böblingen where he worked as Quality Engineer in the patient monitoring area for many years and most recently, was active in the area of Product Approval. He takes over the responsibility for the Schwarzer Cardiotek quality systems in Germany and the Netherlands, as well as responsibility for product approvals.

Michael Grüttner joined in May 2015 as Director Service Worldwide. He has extensive experience in international service for medical devices and medical software solutions through his long-term employment in these areas with Philips Healthcare. After working as Director Software Customer Service APAC in Singapore, he took over as the Operational Excellence Program Manager (Worldwide) in Böblingen. In his role as Head of Service Worldwide for Schwarzer Cardiotek, Michael Grüttner carries the overall responsibility for the Schwarzer Cardiotek service-organization and, among other things, responsibility for the development and adaptation of the global service structures.

“With these new arrivals, expanding and strengthening our highly-skilled workforce, we believe that we are very well equipped for the future market expansion of our medical technology solutions” explain Dr. Michael Späth and Frank-Peter Klein, the two Managing Directors at Schwarzer Cardiotek.
