Schwarzer Cardiotek introduces software version 2.2 for the electrophysiological measuring system EP-TRACER.

Schwarzer Cardiotek, a German-Dutch medical technology company presents new extended functionality and improved usability to simplify the workflow during electrophysiological examinations.

Schwarzer Cardiotek announces the launch of a new software version of its electrophysiological measuring system: EP-TRACER 2.2. In addition to intelligently expanded functionality, the new software improves usability of the EP-TRACER systems.

The EP-TRACER 2.2 software supports an efficient user workflow throughout the procedure, beyond, through intuitive functionality and a comprehensive reporting features.

Invasive blood pressure curves can now be displayed during the EP studies in a dedicated, scaled window synchronized to the ECGs and intracardiac ECGs, supporting the user through transseptal puncture and display of pelvic venous pressure as indicator of phrenic nerve activity during pulmonary vein isolation using cryoablation.

The intuitive, icon-based operation has been further improved through a ‘pin-drop’ feature, snapshot and autotext functions, which enable smooth in-procedure event annotation.

All elements, such as patient data, the procedure log, stimulation protocols, ablation data (both RF and cryo), comments and screenshots are automatically inserted into the easily customizable report templates using the new the new ‘one-click report generation’ functionality.

"Our development team have made remarkable improvements to clinical features, such as the presentation of CMAP and pressure curves during cryoablation, as well as efficiency improvements such as reporting," explains Frank-Peter Klein, President and CEO of the Schwarzer Cardiotek.

About the EP-TRACER
The EP‐TRACER system is an electrophysiology measurement system used to acquire, filter, digitize, amplify, display, and record signals obtained during electrophysiological studies and related procedures. The compact, easy-to-use recording system provides superior signal clarity with a built-in dual channel programmable stimulator for electrophysiology (EP) studies. The EP-TRACER, with software version 2, received CE- and FDA 510(k) clearance. The system is commercially available in Europe, Central and South America, Asia Pacific and Middle East.
